Yesterday we visited Brantley Farms! We had a fun filled day of riding horses, feeding calves, and riding on a hay ride!

Apple Smiles!

In celebration of Johnny Appleseed's birthday our class completed an apple unit.  Students brought in two apples at the begining of the week. We used them to sort, graph, taste, and make applesauce! Yum Yum!

Bears, Bears Everywhere!

We enjoyed a thematic unit on bears. Our class made their own Brown Bear, Brown Bear book. We learned about bear facts in the science lab, graphed Teddy Grahams, and concluded the unit with Teddy Bear Day! So much fun!

Leprechaun Trap!

We got super creative in centers today! Students wanted to design and build a leprechaun trap.  They engineered the links that are holding the box up from the ceiling, painted a green trap, and designed a pot of leprechaun coins.  Two girls also wrote up a letter to convince the leprechaun to come visit our class!!

We had a "Seuss-tastic" week these last few days! We read books, participated in literacy activities, and played in Oobleck in the Science Lab!



Dauphin Island Sea Lab

We went to the Dauphin Island Sea Lab! Students got to learn about animals that are native to our area.  We had a blast and tried to stay warm!!
